How to Get Started
Attend an Information Session
Senior faculty in the program present information sessions every two weeks.
These are respected professionals in the field of Respiratory Care. They represent a broad range of experience from high-level intensive care units, trauma centers, neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, specialty weaning centers, ground and air medical transport to floor care, pulmonary rehabilitation centers, home care, pulmonary function centers and polysomnography centers.
The faculty member presenting each information session will play a short video on an aspect of Respiratory Care they have worked in and talk about their own experiences.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions about the program and get information on how to complete prerequisites and apply to the program.
Come with questions and be prepared to learn about an exciting medical profession.
Attend an information session and learn about the Bachelor of Applied Science in Respiratory Care.

Watch the video for a general idea of what a career in respiratory care can be. You’ll hear from respiratory therapists working in the profession today and learn about all of the work settings and exciting jobs a respiratory therapist might have.
Then explore specialty areas of practice in the profession to learn even more about many exciting aspects of the job.
You will also find links to advancement opportunities, employment and financial outlook, what equipment do they use and where respiratory therapist’s work.
